Pencil Studies
Artistic Drawings
A set of pencil studies focused on structure and line: hands, natural forms, and everyday objects, drawn from observation. Some use a gridded reference to transfer proportions accurately, others are worked more freely.
Pine cone, pencil on gridded paper.
Hand study, palm facing forward.
Scissors, worked out in perspective with visible construction lines.
A leaf, studied through its structure on a gridded reference sheet.
A second hand study, taken further into shading and perspective.
A grid-transfer exercise, copying a reference proportionally square by square.
